Cleveland Metroparks founder William Stinchcomb had a vision that the Park District would be a place for people to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. In 97 years, Cleveland Metroparks has grown from just 3.4 acres to nearly 23,000 acres of land and lakefront property! In honor of William Stinchcomb's vision and Cleveland Metroparks 97th anniversary, come out and enjoy a free evening of music with friends and family at the Stinchcomb Summer Concert Series on Thursdays in July from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial in Rocky River Reservation.
The Stinchcomb Summer Concert Series features local bands and a beautiful view of the land first purchased by Cleveland Metroparks founders. Pack a picnic dinner and enjoy these bands from the comfort of your blanket or lawnchairs:
July 3 Blue Lunch (jump, blues and swing)
July 10 Chardon Polka Band (polka with a twist)
July 17 Outlaws I&I (reggae)
July 24 Bellfuries (rockabilly)
July 31 Cats on Holiday (zydeco)
