Pack your beach bag and bring some extra sunscreen for a fun evening on the beach. Join Cleveland Metroparks for beach activities and a movie at Summer Beach Party on Saturday, August 2 from 5 to 11 p.m. at Huntington Beach in Huntington Reservation in Bay Village.

Enjoy a variety of family friendly beach activities from 5 to 8 p.m., including beach blanket bingo, limbo, scavenger hunts and relay races. Watch national award-winning sand sculptor Carl Jara design a special surf-related sand sculpture. Try your hand at creating your own masterpiece in the sandcastle building area, or enjoy music on the beach by HeartBEAT Afrika Drum Circle and the Calypso Gypsies Steel Drum Band.

Grab a bite to eat from Double Eagle Cafe food truck throughout the night. Later, make your own s'mores at the campfire at 8 p.m. We'll provide the ingredients.

And then, be sure to bring beach blankets and chairs for the 8:45 p.m. movie - Blue Crush. Surfs up! Life for Anne Marie (Kate Bosworth) hasn't been easy since a terrible surfing accident. Cheer her on as she tries to make her dream a reality without drowning in her own fear.

Please note the film is rated PG-13.

Huntington Beach is located off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation, between Crocker-Bassett and Columbia roads in Bay Village - north of the I-90/Columbia Road exit.
