Gallop over to Rocky River Cleveland Metroparks Stables for the Valley Riding Benefit Horse Festival on Sunday, August 3 from ll:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a full, fun, family day of horse activities. Come early so you will not miss the festival parade at 11:30 a.m. led by Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Rangers.Throughout the afternoon, there will be a variety of riding demonstrations including Valley Riding Therapeutic students, drill team performances, stick horse races, raffle prizes, barnyard bingo, food and refreshments. Lake Erie Nature & Science Center and the Cleveland Animal Protective League Mobile Unit will feature other animal friends. And children ages 3 or older can enjoy a pony ride for just $5. There is a l60 pound weight limit for older children. Valley Riding is a non-profit affiliate of Cleveland Metroparks, providing quality English horseback riding instruction and equine-assisted activities to children and adults to enhance awareness and appreciation of horses in a metropolitan setting.
All proceeds of the event support Valley Riding's therapeutic riding programs for special needs children and adults.
