Don't let your kids hibernate on their winter break - bring them to
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for a week of fun, hands-on activities instead!
This holiday season the Zoo is bringing back Winter Break Camp
for kids ages 5-8. The four-day camp runs from Monday, December 30
through Friday, January 3 (no camp on January 1) with half-day (9 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m.) and full-day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) sessions available.
Kids will meet in the Jungle Lab classroom at The RainForest before
setting off to explore the Zoo to learn about how the animals stay
active during the winter and how the Zoo keeps them comfortable
year-round.
Winter Break Camp features interactive and educational programs
including tours of Zoo exhibits, Get Close encounters with small
animals, arts and crafts and conservation-themed games.
Winter Break Camp is a great way to keep your kids engaged and
learning over their days off from school, said Zoo Curator of Education
Vicki Searles. And what could be more fun than touring the Zoo and
seeing the exhibits up close?
