    GEAR UP FOR GROUP BIKE RIDES WITH CLEVELAND METROPARKS

        Cleveland Metroparks invites everyone to gear up for group bike rides and enjoy beautiful scenery along the way.


        Join one or all three bike outings in May led by experienced staff members or volunteers, highlighting areas rich in natural beauty. 


        The free group bike rides in May are:


    Spring Bicycle Ride

    Saturday, May 18 � 9 a.m. - noon

    Bonnie Park parking lot � Mill Stream Run Reservation

    Explore Mill Stream Run Reservation on two wheels. On this 14-mile bike ride for adults and teens, planned stops include Strongsville Wildlife Area and other places of interest. Bring your own bike, helmet and water bottle. A snack is provided. Registration, beginning May 13, is required. For registration and more information, call 440-734-6660.   



    Biking The Back Roads

    Wednesday, May 29 � 9:30 - 3 p.m.

    Kokosing Gap Trail � Knox County

    This mid-week ride on the Kokosing Gap Trail is a favorite among cyclists. Bike 35 miles on this rail-to-trail path and on Ohio's back roads from Danville to Mt.Vernon and return back. Birds, wildflowers and magnificent views of pastoral countryside await. Registration is required. For registration and more information, call 440-786-8530.   



    Bike Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation

    Thursday, May 30 � 6 - 8:30 p.m.

    CanalWay Center � Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation

    Join Cultural History Interpreter Doug Kusak and Naturalist Jill Hauger on an 8-mile bicycle adventure from CanalWay Center to Rockside Road and back. The ride includes brief discussions on the history and nature along the way. Registration is required.
