If you build it, he will come!  Join Cleveland Metroparks for a Cruise-In Movie this June for a blast from the past that ties together everything all-American, baseball and dreams.

On Friday evening, June 21, cruise' over to Wallace Lake in Mill Stream Run Reservation for an outdoor viewing of the 1989 movie classic Field of Dreams and a classic car show.

The movie begins approximately 8:45 p.m. or when the sun goes down, and the area opens at 5 p.m.

Reserved parking is available for classic cars. There will be additional separate parking for general audience.  Participants can watch the movie from their car, beach or grassy hill. Parking is limited.

Bring a ball and glove to play a game of catch on the baseball field before the movie, too.

Field of Dreams:  Kevin Costner plays an Iowa farmer, Ray Kinsella.  His farm is on the verge of foreclosure, but he hears a voice telling him If you build it, he will come. This leads to a series of events that culminate in mowing down his cornfield to build a baseball field. He interprets this message as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm, upon which appear the ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson and the other seven Chicago White Sox players banned from the game for throwing the 1919 World Series. Ray seeks out a reclusive author to help him understand the meaning of the messages and the purpose for his field. Join this all-star cast for a story of self-discovery and sports.

Quarry Rock Caf will have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase before and during the movie.

Wallace Lake is located off Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, south of Bagley Road in Berea.
