Join Cleveland Metroparks on Sunday, June 2 for the one-year anniversary and celebration of the opening of the Royalview Trail network in Mill Stream Run Reservation.
The festivities kick-off at 1 p.m. with a trail walk led by Trail Development Manager Ralph Protano on the Royalview Trail. Protano will discuss the philosophy of sustainable trail building and Leave No Trace design.
Then, at 1:45 p.m., join Cleveland Metroparks staff on a group mountain bike ride. Group rides are available for all skill levels and abilities. Participants may also run or hike the trail, if desired.
Both the trail walk and group ride depart from the bottom trailhead of the Royalview Trail, located off Royalview Lane in Mill Stream Run Reservation, off Valley Parkway, just south of Royalton Road/Route 82 in Strongsville.
At 3:15 p.m., participants and friends can meet at Fat Head's Tasting Room & Brewery in Middleburg Heights for free tours of their local, sustainable business practices. Stick around after the tour with trail friends for refreshments and celebrate a great future for sustainable trails in Cleveland Metroparks.
