Registration is now open for one of the most scenic 5K races in Greater Cleveland!
Cleveland Metroparks invites everyone to the �Healthy Planet, Healthy People 5K Run/Walk� on Saturday, June 8 at 9 a.m. at Big Cedar Point Picnic Area in Rocky River Reservation in North Olmsted.
The �chip-timed� 3.1-mile Run/Walk starts on Valley Parkway at 9 a.m., and winds through the natural surface trails and climbs up the 135-stairs to Fort Hill - with a great view 90 feet above the Rocky River! The course continues down the back stairs and to the finish line.
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female and the top three males and females in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
Registration is now open and available to print a form or register online at hermescleveland.com. Pre-registration is open until Friday, June 7 at 9 a.m. for $20. Late registration of $25 and packet pickup is from 2 to 7 p.m. at Rocky River Nature Center on Friday, June 7. Day-of registration and packet pickup on Saturday, June 8 is from 8 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. on race day.
Healthy Planet, Healthy People 5K Run/Walk is sponsored by Earth Fare, Dick's Sporting Goods and Hermes Cleveland.
Big Cedar Point Picnic Area is located off Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted. Suggested parking is at Rocky River Nature Center, Little Cedar Point and Frostville Museum.
