        Cleveland Metroparks invites everyone to come view watercolors and photography displays featuring nature-inspired works of art.  And, two hands-on art programs led by naturalist-artists are offered to try and capture the natural beauty of spring wildflowers and budding trees.


        The art exhibits and programs in April include:


    Watercolors of Cleveland Metroparks

    Monday, April 1 through Tuesday, April 30 � 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., daily

    CanalWay Center � Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation

    Stop by CanalWay Center anytime during the month of April and view a beautiful display by Nancy Notarianni and her adult watercolor class celebrating Cleveland and Cleveland Metroparks. CanalWay Center is located on Whittlesey Way, off the East 49th Street entrance of Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation, between Grant Avenue and Canal Road in Cuyahoga Heights.     Rocky River Nature Center � Rocky River Reservation

    Drop by Rocky River Nature Center in April and view images by local photographer Bruce Orr. See how Orr captures ephemeral moments and unique perspectives of wildlife through digital manipulation, isolating the subject and producing clear, clean images. Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000 Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted. For more information, call 440-734-6660.



    Art In Nature : Spring Pastels

    Sunday, April 14 � 1 - 3 p.m.

    Look About Lodge � South Chagrin Reservation

    Mother Nature is �dressed� in spring pastels of new leaves and delicate wildflowers. Let nature be the creative inspiration for this Art In Nature program, capturing the sights of the season using chalk pastels. Bring paper and pastels, if you have them. Limited supplies will be available to borrow. This program is suitable for adults and teens, ages 12 and older. Look About Lodge is located at 37374 Miles Road in South Chagrin Reservation, between SOM Center Road/Route 91 and Chagrin River Road in Bentleyville. For more information, call 440-247-7075.



    Watercolor Flowers

    Saturday, April 20 � 10:30 a.m.  - noon

    Garfield Park Nature Center � Garfield Park Reservation

    The beauty of spring is sprouting and unfolding all around. Join Naturalist Beth Whiteley as she demonstrates watercolor techniques used when painting flowers. Work from photos and live examples. Registration, beginning April 1, is required. Garfield Park Nature Center is located off Mill Creek Lane, off the Broadway Avenue entrance of Garfield Park Reservation in Garfield Heights.
