All sorts of animals prefer to come out at night, either because of camouflage or cool temperature.
Find out what is out and about after dark at Nature at Night event on Saturday, July 13 from 5 to 11 p.m. at North Chagrin Nature Center in North Chagrin Reservation in Mayfield Village.
The free Nature at Night event celebrates the beauty of the night and all the nocturnal residents. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities related to the night, including live nocturnal animal programs, moon viewing through telescopes (weather permitting), a puppet theater and crafts, self-guided nature night stations, night hikes, children's crafts, and more!
And, as the sun sets (approximately 9 p.m.), be sure to bring lawn chairs/blankets to enjoy an outdoor movie on the lawn of the nature center - this year featuring Over the Hedge
North Chagrin Nature Center is located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91 in Mayfield Village - south of the I-90/Rte. 91 exit.
