Tree Folklore and Hike
Friday, July 5 � 1 - 2:30 p.m.
Brecksville Nature Center � Brecksville Reservation
Join Historical Interpreter/Naturalist Foster Brown on a 1.5-mile hike through Brecksville Reservation while enjoying the cool shade provided by deciduous giants. This hike is full of fun folklore facts and fascination about these broad-leaf beauties. Brecksville Nature Center is located off Chippewa Creek Drive, off the Route 82 entrance of Brecksville Reservation in Brecksville. Lake Abram Stroll

Did you know that Middleburg was once the onion capital of the United States? Enjoy a leisurely, 2-mile stroll with Naturalist Sharon Hosko and learn the interesting history and stories of the Lake Abram area. Eastland Road Trailhead is located off Eastland Road in Big Creek Reservation, just north of Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights. Squaw Rock Hike & Picnic

Look About Lodge � South Chagrin Reservation
Relive the history of Squaw Rock while on a leisurely, evening hike and picnic. Begin at Look About Lodge and hike to Squaw Rock and see what the summer season has to offer. Once there, sit down by the river for a picnic before returning to Look About Lodge. Bring a meal and blanket. Registration, by July 17, is required. Look About Lodge is located at 37374 Miles Road in South Chagrin Reservation, between SOM Center Road/Route 91 and Chagrin River Road in Bentleyville. Old Time Natives

Join Naturalist Deb Marcinski on a 3-mile hike to see and learn more about Ohio's two native evergreen trees: the eastern hemlock and white pine. Learn about the history and uses of these old time natives.
