    CELEBRATE ALL THINGS REPTILIAN AT CLEVELAND METROPARKS SNAKES, TURTLES & FUN

    These reptiles are so cool they are cold-blooded; it's no coincidence. Reptiles are some of the oldest animals on the planet with roots that trace back to the time of dinosaurs, pre-ice age.


        Reptile lovers will enjoy Cleveland Metroparks free Snakes, Turtles & Fun event on Saturday, August 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Shelterhouse Picnic Area in South Chagrin Reservation in Bentleyville.


         Learn more about these awesome reptiles through up-close interactions, games and other activities.


    Hall of Live Reptiles 

    Get hands-on experience with reptiles at this live animal exhibit presented by Northern Ohio Association of Herpetologists (NOAH) and Cleveland Metroparks Outdoor Education. Learn all about Ohio reptiles, meet a naturalist and ask all your pressing reptilian questions.



    Snake Parades

    Kids can dress up and play in snake costumes.



    Turtle Races

    Slow and steady wins the race! Try on the life of a turtle and go for the gold in this turtle-themed race with scooters.



    The Reptile Felt Board

    Learn all about reptiles and their habitats with this fun game that matches the reptile with its correct habitat.



    Giant Reptile Board Game

    Learn more about reptiles during this life-sized board game! The more points won, the better chances of survival. Who will come out on top at the finish line?



    Reptile Measuring Post

    Visitors can see how well they measure up to the world's largest recorded reptile. 



        
    All visitors can enjoy this fun evening dedicated to reptiles with games, crafts, exhibits and more!


        Browse the great merchandise, and enjoy refreshments for purchase. 


        The Shelterhouse Picnic Area is located off Hawthorn Parkway in South Chagrin Reservation, east of SOM Center Road/Rte. 91 in Bentleyville - north of the Rte. 422/Rte. 91 exit.
