Cleveland Metroparks has many picnic areas with amenities that fit specific needs for outings and events. There are many shelters and/or canopies with picnic tables, grills and restrooms. Some areas also include ballfields, play equipment and horseshoe pits for park visitors to enjoy.
The majority of these picnic areas are free for all to use on a shared basis. A limited number of group picnic areas, shelters and canopies are available to rent for a fee on an exclusive-use basis.
In 2013, there are two new picnic areas available for reserve.
Keystone Picnic Area shelterhouse in West Creek Reservation in Parma is available for weekend-only rentals from June through October. It is an open-sided shelter with water and electricity. There is also a small play field and fireplace. Keystone Picnic Area is also near an all purpose trail and the soon-to-open Watershed Stewardship Center.
Wallace Lake Reservable Canopy is also available for weekend-only rentals from June though September. It is an open-sided canopy with picnic tables and grills, flush and non-flush restrooms, and is near Wallace Lake swim area and its concession stand and paddle boat rentals, fishing area, swings, volleyball and ballfield. Wallace Lake Picnic Area is in Mill Stream Run Reservation.
Reservation fees vary depending on the day of the week and which facility is being used.
