Tired of watching golf on television and getting antsy to play? Well, dust off those golf clubs and shoes - because the 2013 Cleveland Metroparks golf season officially starts on Wednesday, March 13. The eight Park District golf courses will be ready for you!
Conveniently located throughout Greater Cleveland, the Park District golf courses are open daily from dawn to dusk through December, weather permitting. The courses offer golfers of all ages and skill levels a combination of 144 holes of recreational opportunities - from the championship layouts at Manakiki and Sleepy Hollow to the sporty par 29 tract at Washington to Seneca with its two 18-hole courses.
In March and April, duffers can take advantage of �Free Replays� Monday through Thursday. With �Free Replays,� golfers can play an additional 9 holes FREE with any purchase of 9 holes at Little Met, Shawnee Hills Par 3, Mastick Woods or Washington or play an addition 9 at Sleepy Hollow, Manakiki, Big Met, Seneca, or Shawnee Hills with the purchase of 18 holes. The Replay golf must be played immediately after the purchased round. (This offer is subject to availability and cart charges apply for each round. The offer is not valid with league or tournament play.)
Manakiki Golf Course and Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, which was recently named one of Golf Week Magazine's �best courses you can play in 2013' and was #4 on Golf Week's 2011 list of Top 10 public courses in Ohio, are considered by many to be the ultimate in public golfing services and amenities in the Greater Cleveland area. Experienced golfers can enjoy the challenging championship layouts, as well as the attractive clubhouses, pro shops, full catering opportunities, and PGA Pro-instructed golf lessons.
Golfers of varying skill levels can also enjoy the Park District's other six quality courses - Shawnee Hills, Big Met, Seneca, Little Met, Mastick Woods, and Washington - which have many of the same accommodations.
Driving ranges are featured at Sleepy Hollow, Shawnee Hills and Washington. Snack bars and cart and club rentals are available at all courses.
The eight golf course pro shops offer a diverse array of golf equipment and accessories. Cleveland Metroparks guarantees to meet or beat any locally-advertised prices on merchandise for sale in the pro shops through the "low price policy."
Golfers can make tee reservations 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week through a voice-activated calling center - 216-635-3673 (FORE), or through the Park District website: www.clevelandmetroparks.com. Tee reservations can be made up to 12 days in advance. Golfers can also get information on all course rates and directions via the phone system and online.
Golfers can also call the individual courses for more information, greens fees, course conditions, and to make tee reservations, as well.

And don't forget Cleveland Metroparks Golf Bonus Rounds program - the program that rewards golfers just for playing Cleveland Metroparks golf courses!
The annual fee for the Bonus Rounds Program is $25. Upon joining, members are rewarded with a free 9-hole greens fee coupon (up to a $21 value) and a coupon for $5 off any in-stock merchandise purchase at Cleveland Metroparks pro shops.
For every $100 spent on greens fees at Cleveland Metroparks Golf Courses, a golfer earns $20 in Bonus Dollars to be used on a future visit for greens fees. There are no restrictions on when Bonus Dollars can be used, and they do not expire and are even transferrable. League players are also now eligible to earn and use Bonus Rounds for league play. Golfers earn Bonus Rounds while golfing at any of the eight courses.
All eight courses are also available for special private outings. Tournaments, special clinics and group outings for both, large groups and as small as 12 people, can be arranged.
Throughout the season, golfers can also participate in a variety of outings, tournaments, special events, clinics, and lessons presented by Cleveland Metroparks Golf staff, including "Academy of Golf" classes - learning opportunities for all ages and skill levels to improve golf skills, golf knowledge and enjoyment of the game.
