On Labor Day there are picnics, parades and relaxation, but don't forget about golf!
Before you fire up the grill for the end-of-summer barbecue, get out and hit the links at any one of Cleveland Metroparks eight golf courses!
Cleveland Metroparks golf courses are open dawn to dusk on Monday, September 2 - Labor Day. And, as a bonus for Labor Day, junior golfers, ages 17 and younger, are free after 1 p.m. with a paid adult.
Golfers can reserve a tee time by calling individual courses or visiting clevelandmetroparks.com/golf.

And, Cleveland Metroparks invites all young men and women in grades 7 through 12, who DO NOT play for their school golf team, to compete in the �2013 Cleveland Metroparks Fall Junior Tour.�
The four 18-hole events allow those not able to qualify for their respective high school golf team, orwho are too young (grades 7 & 8), home-schooled, or are part of a different sport or activity, to participate in a competitive golf event.
The first event is on Saturday, August 24 at Seneca's �A' Course. The second event is on Sunday, September 8 at Manikiki. The third event is on Saturday, September 14 at Seneca's �B' Course in Broadview Heights. And, the fourth event is on Sunday, September 22 at Shawnee Hills.
Each event is a separate tournament and serves as a qualifier for the Fall Junior Tour Championship. The tour has three divisions: Grades 7, 8 and 9-12. Tee times for each tournament begin at 12:30 p.m with the older students starting first. Qualifiers for the Championship event will be from each division.
An entry fee of $35 for grades 8 -12 (18 holes) and $25 for grade 7 (9 holes) is required for each event. The entry fee includes greens fees and a snack. Registration is required at least one week prior to the event date. Space is limited.
The Junior Fall Tour Championship is held on Sunday, October 6 at Big Met Golf Course in Fairview Park and does not require a fee, but participants MUST qualify for the event.
