It's last call to enjoy the water in Cleveland Metroparks. The summer sun is fading fast, and fall is coming! There's still plenty of time to cool off during the last full month of summer in these water recreation areas.
Swimming:
- Edgewater Beach � Lakefront Reservation, Cleveland
11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily through August 11, then weekends only through Labor Day. Edgewater Beach is located at 6700 Memorial Shoreway, off of OH-2 in Lakefront Reservation in Cleveland.
- Hinckley Lake � Hinckley Reservation, Hinckley Township
11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily through August 11. Hinckley Lake Swimming Area is located off Bellus Road in Hinckley Reservation, between West and East Drives in Hinckley Township.
- Huntington Beach � Huntington Reservation, Bay Village
11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily through August 11, then weekends only through Labor Day. Huntington Beach is located off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation, between Crocker-Bassett and Columbia roads in Bay Village - north of the I-90/Columbia Road exit.
- Ledge Pool & Recreation Area � Hinckley Reservation, Hinckley Township
11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily through August 18. Pool is accessible through daily admission fee or season pass. Also features reservable picnic shelters, fishing along Ledge Lake shore (fishing license required), volleyball and basketball courts. Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is located at 1151 Ledge Road, between State and Kellogg roads in Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township. - Wallace Lake � Mill Stream Run Reservation, Berea
11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily through August 11. Wallace Lake is located on Valley Parkway, one mile south of Bagley Road in Mill Stream Run Reservation.
Lifeguards are on-duty during posted hours at all five swimming areas.
Boating:
Cleveland Metroparks offers a number of designated areas to enjoy boating. Personal boats, canoes and kayaking are permissible unless stated otherwise. Rentals are available in some locations.
- Edgewater Park � Lakefront Reservation, Cleveland
Edgewater Park is located at 6700 Memorial Shoreway, off of OH-2 in Lakefront Reservation in Cleveland.
- Emerald Necklace Marina � Rocky River Reservation, Lakewood
Kayak rental is also available. For more information about kayak rentals, call 1-866-529-2541. For more information about Emerald Necklace Marina, call 216-226-3030. Emerald Necklace Marina is located in Scenic Park, off Valley Parkway, off the Detroit Road entrance of Rocky River Reservation in Lakewood.
- Gordon Park � Lakefront Reservation, Cleveland
Gordon Park is located at E 72nd St, off of I-90 in Lakefront Reservation in Cleveland.
- Hinckley Lake Boathouse & Store � Hinckley Reservation, Hinckley Township
Hinckley Lake Boathouse has rowboat, electric motorboat, canoe, kayak, stand up paddleboard, pontoon boat and paddleboat rental available. Hinckley Lake Boathouse is located off West Drive in Hinckley Reservation, between Bellus and State roads in Hinckley Township. For more information, call 330-826-1682.

Paddleboats and kayak rentals are available through August 11. No private vessels are allowed. Wallace Lake is located on Valley Parkway, one mile south of Bagley Road in Mill Stream Run Reservation. For more information, call 440-826-1682.
- Wildwood Park � Lakefront Reservation, Cleveland
Wildwood Park is located at 17206 Neff Roady, off of Lake Shore Blvd and Villa Angela Drive, near I-90/OH-2 in Lakefront Reservation in Cleveland.
Fishing:
Enjoy recreational fishing throughout the Park District. An Ohio fishing license is required for anglers 16 and older. Catch a variety of fish, including bass, trout, walleye, crappie and bluegill. Major fishing areas include, Lake Erie, the Chagrin, Cuyahoga and Rocky Rivers and Hinckley, Judge's, Ledge, Ranger, Shadow and Wallace Lakes and Ohio & Erie Canal.
