Cleveland Metroparks Zoo welcomes its more longtime visitors with a day of special activities, exhibitors and FREE admission during Senior Safari.
The Zoo's biannual Senior Safari offers all guests age 55 or better FREE admission to the Zoo and The RainForest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 6.
Guests of all ages can visit the exhibitor pavilion featuring senior health, wellness and lifestyle information from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., try out a free fitness demonstration and enjoy live music by the Progressive Field Dixieland Band. Seniors will have the chance to �Walk with a Doc,� and get a flu shot, or a blood pressure or blood glucose screening.
Bring your favorite senior to the Zoo and make some family memories. Take advantage of the Zoo's complimentary tram and ride to the Primate, Cats & Aquatics Building to visit the gorillas and cheetahs.
And, be sure to experience Dinosaurs! before they're gone. The special prehistoric exhibit runs daily through September 15 and features 21 animatronic dinosaur displays. Admission to Dinosaurs! is $3.50 per person or $2 per person for Zoo Society members.
Northeast Ohio's most-visited year-round attraction, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with hours extended to 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission is $12.25 per person, $8.25 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children younger than 2 and Zoo members. Parking is free. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 90 and 480.
