Cleveland Metroparks Zoo welcomes seniors with a day of special activities, exhibitors and FREE admission on May 31.
The first date of the Zoo's biannual Senior Safari offers all guests age 55 or better FREE admission to the Zoo and The RainForest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 31.
Guests of all ages can visit the exhibitor pavilion featuring senior health, wellness and lifestyle information from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., try out a free fitness demonstration and enjoy live music by the Progressive Field Dixieland Band and performances by the RSVP Players.
Bring your favorite senior to the Zoo and make some family memories. Stop at the deck overlooking the giraffe exhibit between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. where you can feed one of the Zoo's giraffes, catch one of the three daily performances of Professor Wylde's Live Animal Show in the Savanna Theater, or take advantage of the Zoo's complimentary tram and ride to the Primate, Cats & Aquatics Building to visit the gorillas and cheetahs.
And, no trip to the Zoo this summer would be complete without experiencing Dinosaurs! which opens May 9 and runs daily through September 15. This special seasonal exhibit features 21 animatronic dinosaur displays and transforms the Zoo's Waterfowl Lake into a prehistoric forest. Admission to Dinosaurs! is $3.50 per person or $2 per person for Zoo Society members.
Northeast Ohio's most-visited year-round attraction, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $12.25 per person, $8.25 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children younger than 2 and Zoo members. Parking is free. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 90 and 480.
