Cleveland Metroparks is pleased to announce that Sanaa Julien has been hired as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) effective April 17, 2013. As CMO, Julien will oversee Cleveland Metroparks Marketing, Visitor Services, Research and Visual Communications departments.

She comes to us with a wealth of experience,� said Brian Zimmerman, Cleveland Metroparks Chief Executive Officer. �She has done an amazing job marketing the Cleveland Indians and has a proven track record managing very complex marketing strategies.�
Julien was most recently with the Cleveland Indians as Senior Director of Marketing from March 2003 to April 2013. Prior to joining the Indians, She spent 18 years in broadcast marketing and programming for numerous Cleveland media properties, including WNCX, WXTM/WZJM, WEWS TV 5, WGAR, WWWE and WDOK.

I am proud to be joining a team of professionals that work hard daily to conserve, educate and provide recreation resources to the entire community.�
Julien earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Cleveland State University while working as a senior producer for WWWE 1100 AM radio. She is a member of the Cleveland Association of Broadcasting, Press Club of Cleveland and Women in Sports and Event Marketing. She is the recipient of two Regional Emmy Awards for product brand advertising campaigns, numerous Cleveland Addy Awards, and has earned three National Sports Forum Awards for Best In Stadium/In Arena Entertainment, as well as numerous awards for best advertising and media campaigns.
