    It's getting chillier outside, which means birds
    are starting to head south for the winter.



    Bid a fond farewell to them before they leave at Cleveland
    Metroparks programs this October, including:



    Fall Bird Hike



    Thursday, October 4 � 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.



    Look About Lodge � South Chagrin Reservation



    Enjoy a last look at migrating birds before they head to warmer
    climates. Binoculars and field guides are available for loan. Look
    About Lodge is located at 37374 Miles Road in South Chagrin
    Reservation, between SOM Center Road/Route 91 and Chagrin River
    Road in Bentleyville. For more information, call 440-247-7075.



    Bird or Bust: Chasing Migration



    Thursday, October 4 � 10 a.m.  - 12:30 p.m.



    Huntington Reservation



    Join Naturalist Jen Brumfield on a tour-de-force morning seeking
    migrant songbirds and insects along the Lake Erie lakefront.
    Huntington Reservation, Rocky River Park and Wendy Park in search
    of warblers, rare sparrows, waterbirds and more. Meet at Huntington
    Reservation's lakefront parking lot on the north side of Lake Road
    in Bay Village. For more information, call 216-341-9225



    Sunday Bird Walk



    Sundays, October 7 and 21 � 9  - 11 a.m.



    North Chagrin Nature Center� North Chagrin
    Reservation



    Join Naturalist Tim Krynak to search for migrant songbirds
    making their way to more tropical climates. Some binoculars will be
    available to borrow. North Chagrin Nature Center is located off
    Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance of North
    Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91 in Mayfield

    Bird or Bust: Chasing Sparrows

    Bedford Reservation



    Come on a sparrow-seeking adventure through the meadows of
    Bedford Reservation with Naturalist Jen Brumfield. Search the skies
    for migrant songbirds, butterflies and dragonflies, and explore the
    meadows of Circle Emerald. Meet at the end of Old Button Road in
    Bedford Reservation, off Dunham Road in Bedford. For more

    Eyes on OWLS!

    Garfield Park Nature Center � Garfield Park
    Reservation



    Experience an indoor discovery program celebrating the
    incredible diversity, natural history and secrets of owls with
    Naturalist Jen Brumfield! Bring the entire family to see two live
    owls up-close and personal. Garfield Park Nature Center is located
    off Mill Creek Lane, off the Broadway Avenue entrance of Garfield
    Park Reservation in Garfield Heights. For more information, call

    Monthly Morning with the Birds

    Rocky River Nature Center � Rocky River Reservation



    This is an exciting time to watch birds in the woods and over
    the waters of the Rocky River Valley. Bring some binoculars and
    curiosity to see some of these winged gems. Rocky River Nature
    Center is located at 24000 Valley Parkway in Rocky River
    Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted. For more
