Cleveland Metroparks Ranger Department announced that after 10-�
years of loyal service, K-9 officer �Radar� will be retiring.
A retirement ceremony in his honor will take place during the
Ranger Community Open House on Saturday, October 6 at Ranger
Headquarters.
The Community Open House is on Saturday, October 6 from noon to
4 p.m., with Radar's retirement ceremony taking place at 12:30
p.m.
In Radar's 10-� years of service, he has earned multiple awards
excelling in tracking, narcotics detection
and pursuit/apprehension. He has also worked closely with
specialized drug task force units, and has a number of notable
recognitions.
The free Open House also features the horses of the mounted
unit, members of the dive team showcasing their equipment, and an
up-close view of all the Ranger vehicles used in patrol.
Tours of Ranger Headquarters are also part of the activities, after
the retirement ceremony.
Ranger Headquarters is located at 4600 Valley Parkway in Rocky
River Reservation, directly across from Big Met Golf Course, in
Fairview Park.
