The History of Fort Hill

Rocky River Nature Center � Rocky River Reservation
Fort Hill in Rocky River Reservation is said to have some of the
best views and trails in the state, and many know of the infamous
stairs - 135 to be exact - that ascend 90 feet above the Rocky
River. But there is so much more to its rich history, too. Learn
about the first people of the valley, how they lived, and how they
used Fort Hill. Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000
Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point

Over the River and Through the Woods
Sunday, November 25 � 1 - 3 p.m.
Squire's Castle Parking Lot � North Chagrin
Spend the last day of this long holiday weekend hiking around
historic Squire's Castle and then through the woods to the Chagrin
River in North Chagrin Reservation. Explore the history of the area
over the last century while searching for seasonal happenings in
the forest and river. Participants might even catch a glimpse of
the ghost of Rebecca, Feargus B. Squire's wife. Squire's Castle
Parking Lot is located off Chagrin River Road in North Chagrin
Reservation, south of Chardon Road/Route 6 in Willoughby Hills.For
