    Why should Halloween only be one night? Cleveland Metroparks
    invites everyone to celebrate all that is spooky, creepy and goes
    bump in the night with Halloween-related programs this October:



    Halloween Scavenger Hunt



    October 1 thru October 31 � 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., daily



    Garfield Park Nature Center � Garfield Park
    Reservation



    October is the perfect month to learn all about Ohio's creepiest
    critters. View live examples while hunting for hidden creatures
    around the nature center! Garfield Park Nature Center is located
    off Mill Creek Lane, off the Broadway Avenue entrance of Garfield
    Park Reservation in Garfield Heights. For more information, call

    Family Friday Night: Creepy Campfire



    Friday, October 26 � 7 - 8 p.m.



    North Chagrin Nature Center's Nature Education Building �
    North Chagrin Reservation



    Celebrate the season with an evening campfire in the park.
    Explore what goes bump in the night with a look at some nocturnal
    animals. Bring a scary story to share around the campfire while
    roasting marshmallows. North Chagrin Nature Center's Nature
    Education Building is located behind the nature center, off
    Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance of North
    Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91 in Mayfield

     Pumpkin Carving

    Excited for the changing seasons? Come to Garfield Park Nature
    Center for a fun afternoon of pumpkin carving! Carving materials
    will be provided, but everyone is to bring their own pumpkin.
    Registration is required. Garfield Park Nature Center is located
    off Mill Creek Lane, off the Broadway Avenue entrance of Garfield

    Spooky Scavenger Hunt

    Take a page out of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys books and head
    onto the trails to find clues that solve a spooky mystery! Be sure
    to bring a camera or a phone to �capture� the answer. Join the fun
    any time after 1 p.m., but complete the haunted hunt by 3:30 p.m.
    to win a prize! Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000
    Valley Parkway, between Cedar Point Road and Shepard Lane in Rocky

    Halloween Hoopla



    Saturday, October 27 � 1 - 4 p.m.

    Dress up in a Halloween costume and kick off this spooky holiday
    celebration with a fun party for young ones. Answer questions about
    creepy animals to navigate through a giant maze, enjoy sweet treats
    and get up-close and personal with snakes, tarantulas and more!

    Yappy Hour

    Dress Fido up in a Halloween costume and let him strut his stuff
    around West Channel Pond Trail. Then, head back to Rocky River
    Nature Center for some light refreshments for both dogs and humans.
    Prize awarded for best dog costume. Rocky River Nature Center is

    Great Pumpkin Party

    Look About Lodge � South Chagrin Reservation



    Drop in anytime between 4 and 8 p.m. for a celebration of
    pumpkin proportions! Wear a costume, bring a pumpkin to decorate
    and enjoy the pumpkin trail as the sun sets. And, be ready for the
    �Great Pumpkin Fling� of 2012. Great gourds! It's fun for everyone!

    Come and meet animals that make people think of Halloween. Owls,
    spiders and other creepy creatures await! Kids will take home a
    spooky craft, too. Registration, beginning October 1, is required
    and space is limited. For children ages 9 to 12. North Chagrin
    Nature Center is located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the
    Sunset Lane entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center

    Full Moon Hike



    Monday, October 29 � 6 - 7:30 p.m.

    Monthly lunar celebrations get a little spookier this month!
    Listen for the haunting hoots of owls and learn a few freaky facts
    about local wildlife while navigating through the nighttime forest
    under the full moon. Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000
    Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point
