Cleveland Metroparks Aquatics Division is offering American Red
Cross Babysitter Training and Pet First Aid courses this
November.
The babysitter training course is a great way for young people
to build self-esteem and develop leadership, decision-making and
communication skills, as well as give them a meaningful way to earn
money.
And, the pet first aid course teaches participants the knowledge
and skills needed to prevent and respond to pet emergencies, both
feline and canine. The course content and activities prepare
participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to
pet emergencies.

American Red Cross Babysitter Training
Saturday, November 3 � 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Park Operations Facility � Rocky River
Reservation
Gain skills needed to care for children and infants.
Through hands-on activities, videos and discussions, students will
learn CPR and first aid. The course will show how to handle
emergencies, how to make good decisions and solve problems, as well
as how to write resumes and interview for jobs. Participants
must be ages 11 to 15. Registration and a $70 ($50 for Ledge Pool
pass holders) fee are required. Space is limited and
registration is accepted through October 31. For more

American Red Cross Pet First Aid
Saturday, November 10 � 1 - 4 p.m.
Park Operations Facility � Rocky River
Reservation
Pet First Aid teaches emergency care procedures for cats and
dogs and provides tips for keeping pets happy and healthy too.
Training will be conducted on canine and feline manikins to give
participants a more realistic experience in providing care.
Registration is required by November 7, and space is limited. Cost
is $45, which includes either a Dog or Cat First Aid Book/DVD, or
$60 for both Dog and Cat First Aid Books/DVDs. For more information

The Park Operations facility is located at 4500 Valley Parkway
in Rocky River Reservation in Fairview Park, just off the Wooster
Road hill.
