Cleveland Metroparks is rich in history. So, why not hike and
learn about some local history through two free, fascinating hikes
with a bit of a history lesson intertwined.
The hikes and history outings in June include:
Naturalist at Squaw Rock
Saturday, June 16 � 1 - 3 p.m.
Squaw Rock Picnic Area � South Chagrin Reservation
Stop by Squaw Rock anytime during the program and meet a
naturalist who will tell about the history of Squaw Rock and point
out fascinating critters that live in the Chagrin River. Park in
the Squaw Rock Picnic Area parking area, located off Hawthorn
Parkway in South Chagrin Reservation, east of SOM Center Road/Route

Hike The Ledges
Wednesday, June 27 � 10:30 a.m. -
noon
Whipp's Ledges parking lot � Hinckley Reservation
Join Naturalist Jenny McClain for a 1.5-mile summer scramble
through Whipp's Ledges. Hike parts of the Buckeye and Whipp's
Ledges trails in search of wildlife activity, fossils and other
remnants of the past. Whipp's Ledges is located off State
Road in Hinckley Reservation, between Bellus and Ledge roads in
