    After the sun goes down, the fun heats up in
    Cleveland Metroparks in June. Everyone is invited to enjoy free
    moonlight hikes, campfires, storytelling and searches for nocturnal
    forest critters.



    Moonlight hikes, campfires and other evening programs in June
    include: 



    Strawberry Moonlight Hike



    Saturday, June 2 � 8 - 9:30 p.m.



    Strawberry Picnic Area parking lot � North Chagrin
    Reservation



    Take an evening 2.5-mile hike and look for nesting birds along
    the ravine above Buttermilk Creek. As darkness descends, hike past
    moonlit meadows looking for white-tailed deer. Strawberry Picnic
    Area is located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Strawberry
    Lane entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center
    Road/Route 91 in Willoughby Hills. For more information, call

    Hike And Campfire



    Sunday, June 3 � 7 - 8:30 p.m.



    Rocky River Nature Center � Rocky River
    Reservation



    Enjoy the beauty of a summer evening hike followed by a campfire
    at Trailside Amphitheater. Hike 1.4 miles up Fort Hill (many
    steps), then return to the Amphitheater for a marshmallow roast.
    Long sleeves are recommended. Rocky River Nature Center is located
    at 24000 Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar
    Point Road in North Olmsted. For more information, call

    The Moon in June



    Monday, June 4 � 8 - 9:30 p.m.

    There's nothing better than enjoying a moonlit walk through the
    summer woods. Join Naturalist Bethany Majeski for a fun, night
    1.5-mile hike, searching for creatures like bats, beavers and
    frogs. Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000 Valley Parkway
    in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North

    Second Saturday Storytelling



    Saturday, June 9 � 7:30 - 9 p.m.

    Barb Sutton is back with traditional tales told in her unique
    style. After the storytelling, enjoy refreshments while swapping
    stories. Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000 Valley

    Dusk Hike



    Monday, June 18 � 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.



    Bacci Park parking lot � Ohio & Erie Canal
    Reservation



    At dusk, the hike begins at Bacci Park and continues south along
    the Ohio & Erie Canal going over and under the bridges of the
    valley. Bring a camera! Bacci Park is located off Canal Road,
    adjacent to Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation, between E.71 Street
    and Warner Road in Cuyahoga Heights. For more information, call

    Campfire By The Marsh



    Friday, June 29 � 8 - 9:30 p.m.



    North Chagrin Nature Center's Nature Education
    Building
    � North Chagrin Reservation



    Experience the soothing sounds of nature by firelight. The
    evening starts with a 1-mile leisurely stroll through the forest
    and around wetlands in search of nocturnal creatures. The night
    ends with a sweet treat of roasted marshmallows. North Chagrin
    Nature Center's Nature Education Building is located behind the
    nature center, off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane
    entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91

    Firefly Frenzy



    Saturday, June 30 � 9:30 - 10:30 p.m.

    Huntington Reservation



    Fireflies are fascinating. Join Naturalist Valerie Fetzer to
    learn more about their unique characteristics and behaviors. Enjoy
    an absolutely amazing �light show� following the presentation. This
    program for adults and families with older children will be
    canceled if raining. Huntington Beach overflow parking lot is
    located off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation in Bay Village. For
