Calling all T-Birds and Pink Ladies! Join Cleveland Metroparks for a Cruise-In Movie this June - a new take on a classic summertime experience.
On Friday, June 22 from 8 to 11 p.m., cruise' over to Wallace Lake in Mill Stream Run Reservation in a greased lightening hot rod for an outdoor viewing of the 1978 movie classic Grease and a classic car show.
Reserved parking is available for classic cars. There will be additional separate parking for general audience. Participants can watch the movie from their car, beach or grassy hill. Parking is limited so be sure to arrive early!
The movie will begin approximately 8:45 p.m. or when the sun goes down.
Grease: John Travolta solidified his position as one of the most versatile and magnetic screen presences of the decade in Grease, one of the most successful motion pictures of all time. Recording star Olivia Newton-John made her American film debut as Sandy, Travolta's painfully-naive love interest. Grease was not just a nostalgic look at a simpler decade, peopled with characters of universal appeal, this re-release is an energetic and exciting homage to the age of rock 'n roll!
Quarry Rock Caf will have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase.
Wallace Lake is located off Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation. Due to the West Bridge construction over Valley Parkway, follow the detour signs. From I-71/Bagley Road exit, head west on Bagley Road, get in the left lane and cross Front Street. Turn left onto Prospect/Rt. 237, turn left onto South Quarry Lane, and turn left onto Valley Parkway to Wallace Lake.
Call 440-331-8111 or 440-243-6103 (after June 2) for more information.
Enjoy a new summertime tradition with the Cruise-In Movie from Cleveland Metroparks - part of your life, naturally.
