    Cleveland Metroparks needs your help!  Join in
    attempting to break the Guinness Book of World Record for the
    �Largest Group of People doing Jumping Jacks� on Saturday, June 9
    at the new �Healthy People, Healthy Planet Fair & 5K Run/Walk�
    event at Big Cedar Point Picnic Area in Rocky River Reservation in
    North Olmsted. 



    Cleveland Metroparks has been successful in the
    past in setting Guinness World Records: in May 2001 for the
    �Largest Raft of Free Floating Canoes & Kayaks� and in
    September 2007 for the �Largest Harmonica Play-Along.� 



    Help Cleveland Metroparks attempt to break the Guinness Book of
    World Record for the �Largest Group of People doing Jumping Jacks�
    at the same time for one-minute which begins at 10:15 a.m. 
    The record for the most people star jumping (jumping jacks)
    simultaneously is 1,157 achieved by students at Mamie Fay School in
    New York, New York on October 12, 2011.



    The Guinness record attempt participation is free and interested
    jumping jackers can pre-register by emailing "mailto:rockyrivernc@clevelandmetroparks.com">rockyrivernc@clevelandmetroparks.com
    their name, address, city, state, zip, and number of people
    attending the Guinness Book of World Records attempt (add �Guinness
    World Record' in the subject line of the email).



    Check-in and day-of registration for the Guinness Record attempt
    is from 8 to 10 a.m.  The staff from Fitworks will get
    everyone loose and stretched out from 10 to 10:15 a.m. and the
    attempt is at 10:15 a.m. 



    And, runners and walkers can enjoy the inaugural �Healthy
    Planet, Healthy People 5K Run/Walk� at 9 a.m. featuring one of the
    most scenic courses in Greater Cleveland that includes the 135
    stairs to Fort Hill - with a great view 90 feet above the Rocky
    River! 



    Runners and walkers can register online at "http://www.hermescleveland.com/">www.hermescleveland.com. 
    Pre-registration is open until Friday, June 8 at 9 a.m. for
    $20.  Late registration of $25 and packet pickup is on Friday,
    June 8 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Rocky River Nature Center.  Day-of
    registration and packet pickup on Saturday, June 9 is from 8 a.m.
    to 8:50 a.m. on race day at the event site.



    Plus, event-goers can enjoy the �Healthy Planet, Healthy People
    Fair� from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Stop by the Fairview Hospital
    booth for a health screening, learn the ins-and-outs of container
    gardening, discover how rain barrels can improve your garden with
    Rocky River Watershed Council, and more. �Dig up' information from
    Cleveland Metroparks Health Awareness Committee on local farmer's
    markets and recreation opportunities within Cleveland Metroparks,
    discover the sustainability practices by Great Lakes Brewing
    Company, and the Northeast



    Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) booth
    will focus on air and water qualities in Northeast Ohio, and
    more.  And, be sure to stop at the Earth Fare and Fleet Feet
    Sports booths, too.



    Refreshments will be available, and adults, ages 21
    and over, can purchase Great Lakes Brewing Company beer at the
    �Beer Garden.�



    Healthy Planet, Healthy People Fair & 5K Run/Walk is
    sponsored by Earth Fare, Fairview Hospital, Fitworks, Great Lakes
    Brewing Company, Renewal by Andersen, and Cleveland Magazine.



    Big Cedar Point Picnic Area is located off Valley Parkway in
    Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North
    Olmsted.  Suggested parking is at Rocky River Nature Center,
    Little Cedar Point Picnic Area and Frostville Museum.
