After the sun goes down, there are still plenty of fun things to
see and do in Cleveland Metroparks during the month of April.

Programs range from active to passive. Choose a hike under the
full moon, taking an evening frog walk and roasting marshmallows,
watching the film Raptor Force, listening to original music,
    or all of them!

The evening programs at Cleveland Metroparks in April
    include:

    Full Moon Hike

    Friday, April 6 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Squire's Castle Picnic Area parking lot North Chagrin
    Reservation

Enjoy a 2-mile hike under the pink moon, so named for the
heralding of the wildflowers beginning to bloom.  Be on the
lookout for wildflowers and other discoveries by the light of the
moon. Squire's Castle Picnic Area is located on Chagrin River Road
in North Chagrin Reservation, off Chardon Road/Route 6 in
Willoughby Hills. For more information, call 440-473-3370.

    Frog Walk and Campfire

    Saturday, April 14 7 - 9 p.m.

Codrington Picnic Area Shelterhouse Bradley Woods
    Reservation

Bradley Woods Reservation is a great amphibian habitat. Take a
1.5-mile hike and search for frogs heading for breeding pools and
listen for peeping frogs. Then, return to the shelterhouse to enjoy
a campfire and roast marshmallows. Rubber boots are recommended.
Registration, beginning March 26, is required for this ages 7 and
older program. Codrington Picnic Area is located off White Oak Lane
in Bradley Woods Reservation, off Bradley Road in Westlake. For
registration and more information, call 440-734-6660.

    Friday Movie Night: Raptor Force

    Friday, April 20 7:30 - 8:45 p.m.

North Chagrin Nature Center North Chagrin
    Reservation

Don't miss Raptor Force! It's not a mega roller coaster
but just as thrilling. Witness the amazing adaptations of birds of
prey and see how humans are studying raptors as a template for
creating sophisticated technology. And, see how people connect to
raptors through the ancient hobby of falconry. North Chagrin Nature
Center is located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset lane
entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91
in Mayfield Village. For more information, call
    440-473-3370.

    CanalWay Coffeehouse

    Friday, April 20 7:30 - 9 p.m.

CanalWay Center Ohio & Erie Canal
    Reservation

Spend a toe-tapping evening with talented and passionate
musicians from CanalWay's Acoustic Player's Circle Group. Listen to
old favorites, original pieces and even some sing alongs. There is
a $5 fee per person. CanalWay Center is located on Whittlesey Way,
off the East 49th Street entrance of Ohio & Erie
Canal Reservation, between Grant Avenue and Canal Road in Cuyahoga
Heights. For more information, call 216-206-1000.

Enjoy entertaining April evenings in Cleveland
Metroparks - a part of your life, naturally!
