Remember what summer used to be like - playing
baseball in the park, enjoying ice cream and not coming inside
until the streetlights came on?
Remember the good old days with Cleveland Metroparks �Good Old
Summertime,� an outdoor event dedicated to bringing the entire
family back in time for a celebration of summer. This easy, summer
afternoon is Sunday, July 15 from noon to 5 p.m at the
Frostville Museum in Rocky River Reservation.
Enjoy games, kid's crafts, ice cream making and kite flying.
Mitchell's Ice Cream will be selling their delicious concoctions
for anyone looking for a cold treat.
Members of the Ohio Society for the Elevation of Kites will be
making kites and giving kite flying demonstrations. Participants
can make their own kites for $3 per kite.
Vintage baseball games between the Whiskey Island Shamrocks and
North Baltimore Cyclones take place at 1 and 3 p.m. Bring your lawn
chairs and settle in to watch the game, played by the rules and
customs of the 19th century.
