Summer is heating up! So, why not relax outdoors with cool
summer music in Cleveland Metroparks.
This July, Cleveland Metroparks offers music-lovers two, free
opportunities to enjoy live music ranging from classical Americana
to historical regional music.
The summer music programs in July include:
Acoustic Players Circle
Saturday, July 14 � 1 - 3 p.m.
CanalWay Center � Ohio & Erie Canal
Join this well-established player's circle to swap songs, chords
and styles of playing. Professional abilities are not needed; just
a desire to have fun and learn from fellow musicians. This month's
theme is: �Celebrating Woody.� This year would have been Woody
Guthrie's 100th birthday. Listeners are always welcome.
CanalWay Center is located on Whittlesey Way, off the East
49th Street entrance of Ohio & Erie Canal
Reservation, between Grant Avenue and Canal Road in Cuyahoga

Concert in the Park: Americana
Tuesday, July 24 � 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Forest Picnic Area � North Chagrin Center
Music of �Americana� will be presented by Hillcrest Concert Band
and Madison Community Band, conducted by Paul Lawrence and Brian
Lago. There will be music from America's history and different
geographic areas, music that defines the great beauty of America.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Forest Picnic Area is
located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance
of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91 in

Cleveland Metroparks is also hosting three live-music summer
Enjoy local bands and a relaxing sunset on the lawn at the
CanalWay Sunset Concert Series in Ohio & Erie Canal
Reservation. This free monthly concert series continues on Friday,
July 13 and August 10. Both 90-minute concerts begin at 7:30
p.m. For more information, call CanalWay Center at
Celebrate Cleveland Metroparks 95th Anniversary with
an outdoor concert series near the very first three acres that
started Cleveland Metroparks. The Stinchcomb Concert Series
features old-time rock-n-roll, bluegrass, Beatles beats and Irish
tunes at the Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial in Rocky River Reservation.
Enjoy a plethora of music every Thursday in July from 6 to 8

And, Look About Lodge, Cleveland Metroparks historic log cabin
in South Chagrin Reservation, is hosting an outdoor summer concert
series. Sundays in July and August, bands, ensembles and
singer-songwriters will perform a medley of music from Americana to
traditional polka and classic rock to kids songs. Concerts start at
6 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. Snacks are
for sale (alcohol is not permitted). A donation of a $1
