After saying hello' to Mayor Mantis, grab a Passport and take a
    tour of Bug City!

Meet the citizens of Cleveland Metroparks Bug City event on
    Saturday, August 11 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Garfield Park
Nature Center in Garfield Park Reservation in Garfield
    Heights.

Visitors of all ages are introduced to the cool world of
insects!  Learn what insects do, why they're important and
    even what they taste like!

Children can get a passport to be stamped throughout Bug City's
districts after completing a variety of activities.  After the
children receive at least five stamps, they can redeem their
passport for a specially-designed Bug City prize.

With all the walking around through the seven districts, a good
place to stop and enjoy a snack' at Bug City is the Culinary
Bugstitute with Chef Gene White.  Enjoy bug cooking
demonstrations, bug recipes and tasty samples.

After eating a few mealworms and crickets, head over to the Bug
House to view a wide variety of bug exhibits from Ohio to
Africa.  Stop by the Garden District and get garden tips on
which plants will attract certain bugs with the Master Gardeners,
see live and mounted butterflies, and bees and honey
    tasting.

And, visit the Art District to see the new Albert's Flea Circus,
take a buggy voyage with Capt'n Willie and enjoy buggy' music with
    Gary Lee.

Walk down Predator Alley to see live animals from Lake Erie
Nature & Science Center and test your Bug IQ.  Experience
Bug SafariLand and enjoy the great bug hunt, the ant trail, and a
must-do activity for kids - the Mealworm 500, where kids can watch
the mealworms race to the finish line!

Families can also take rides on the Bug Express train
    ($2/person).

Garfield Park Nature Center is located off the Broadway Avenue
entrance of Garfield Park Reservation in Garfield Heights - north
    of the I-480/Broadway Avenue exit.
