With over 22,000 acres, Cleveland Metroparks needs
all sorts of equipment to keep the Park District operating.

Come see some of the equipment at the free
Cleveland Metroparks Touch-A-Truck event on Sunday, August
19 from noon to 4 p.m. at Strongsville Park Operations in Mill
    Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville.

With over 30 pieces of equipment on-site, kids can
enjoy climbing on and in, and learning why each piece of equipment
is used.  Some of the departments that will have equipment on
display include: park operations, specialty crews, golf, natural
resources, park rangers, and outdoor education.

Kids can also enjoy playing in a huge sandbox with over two tons
of sand brought in from the golf division.

And, bring empty aluminium cans for a Steam Roller
Demonstration! The cans will be rolled flat as a pancake at 1, 2
and 3 p.m. and donated to Cleveland Metroparks recycling
    program.

Cleveland Metroparks ECO-Team will discuss recycling practices
and tips on how to make changes in everyday life through
    recycling.

Bring a camera for many great opportunities.

EarthWords Nature Shop will also be selling merchandise, and
refreshments will be available for sale.

Haywagons and shuttle buses will be available to and from the
    parking areas.

Strongsville Park Operations facility is located at 9485
Eastland Road in Mill Stream Run Reservation, off Valley Parkway,
west of Pearl Road/Rte. 42 in Strongsville.

    For more information, call 216-635-3200.

A special thanks to Southeastern Equipment Company, Inc.,
Century Equipment, Medina Supply, Ohio CAT, Paper Retriever
Recycling, Toyota-Lift and Shearer Equipment for supporting the
    event.

with a variety of equipment at the Touch-A-Truck event in
Cleveland Metroparks - part of your life, naturally!
