Cleveland Metroparks is a great place to volunteer and the time
is now to make a difference, while enjoying the satisfaction of
contributing to the conservation, education and recreation efforts
of Cleveland Metroparks!
The following volunteer opportunities are available with the
Park District:
Golf Maintenance Volunteer at select
Cleveland Metroparks Golf Courses
The volunteer assists on a weekly basis by filling tee divots,
filling and maintaining ball washers, repairing ball marks,
collecting and sorting trash, and trimming irrigation heads. Must
be age 16 and older and be available two shifts per week for 2 to 3
hours. Shifts are available daily between 6 a.m. to 2
p.m.
Golf Course Ranger Volunteer at select
Cleveland Metroparks Golf Courses
The volunteer patrols the golf course to assist with proper pace
of play, monitors play and offers amenities to players.
Knowledge of golf, etiquette and rules is necessary. All Golf
Ranger volunteers must possess a valid Ohio driver's license. Must
be age 18 and older, and be available two shifts (6 hours) per
week. Morning, afternoon and evening shifts are
available.
Concessions Volunteer at Hinckley or Mill Stream Run
Reservations
Depending on location, volunteers may assist with swim lesson
and special event registration; general customer service;
sell/prepare food, merchandise; sell/redeem gift certificates,
kayak and paddleboat rental tickets, admission tickets; conduct
proper open/close procedures; and stock merchandise.
Prospective volunteers must submit to a credit check to be
considered for this activity. Must be age 18 and older, and be
available two shifts (6 hours) per week, May through September.
Boat Attendant Volunteer & Store Attendant Volunteer at
Hinckley Boat House � Hinckley
Reservations
The Boat Attendant Volunteer will assist with merchandise and
bait sales, moving and cleaning of bait tanks and boats, handle
lead-acid batteries and gasoline, and be able to operate an
electric or gas operated motor boat. The Store Attendant Volunteer
will assist with merchandise and bait sales, displays and general
customer service. Prospective volunteers must submit to a credit
check to be considered for either of these activities. Must be 18
and older, and available one 4-hour shift every other week at
minimum.
