Boy Scouts: be prepared and don't miss �Boy Scout Saturday:
Environmental Science Merit Badge� on Saturday, March 24 from 10
a.m. to noon at North Chagrin Nature Center's Nature Education
Building in North Chagrin Reservation.
Join Naturalist and certified Merit Badge Counselor Mindy
Murdock to complete several requirements for the Environmental
Science Merit Badge. Requirements to be covered include: discussing
the history of environmental science in America and constructing a
timeline of the events, defining environmental science terms, and
discussing endangered species in Ohio.
Murdock will also discuss ecosystems, acid rain and its impact,
current pollution issues, ways to reduce or prevent pollution in
neighborhoods, and various environmental science careers.
This free program does not satisfy all the requirements for the
Environmental Science Merit Badge, but it gives Boy Scouts a great
start. Participants should come prepared with their blue card to
have signed for work completed during the program.
