    Calling all kids who enjoy history! Cleveland Metroparks is offering another year of historical field trips, investigation and learning. History Hounds is designed for home-school educators who want to supplement their lessons. Each month, Cleveland Metroparks Historical Interpreter Foster Brown will teach or facilitate a lesson on a selected topic.


    History Hounds is a yearlong program that requires monthly dedication and participation. It is geared toward children ages 8 - 12, however siblings are also welcome. All programs are on Tuesdays from 1 - 3 p.m. A one-time registration is required for the full year of field trips. Each participate will be responsible for museum entry fees and transportation to program sites.


    Registration begins January 3, 9 a.m. Don't delay: History Hounds is limited to 30 children with their parents.


    CanalWay Center - Ohio Presidents  � January 29 (no charge)

    James A Garfield National Historic Site  � February 26 ($5 per person)

    McKinley Museum  � March 26 ($8 adult/$6 child)

    Hayes Presidential Museum  � April 30 ($5 per person)

    Lakeview Cemetery (Cleveland) � May 28 (Donation)

    Glendale Cemetery (Akron) � June 11 (Donation)

    Riverside Cemetery (Cleveland) � July 30 (no charge)

    National First Ladies' Museum (Canton) � August 27 ($7 adult/$5 child)

    Biking on Kelley's Island  � September 24 (Fee TBD)

    Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor  � October 29 ($7 adult/$3 child)

    Look About Lodge  � November 12 (no charge)
