Cleveland Metroparks has named Joseph Roszak as the new Chief Operating Officer. Roszak will be sworn in at the January 10, 2013 meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners.
As chief operating officer, Roszak will be directly responsible for Cleveland Metroparks strategic planning, reporting and management for the direction and leadership of the Park District's operations. His primary responsibilities will include the Park Operations Department, including interpretive/educational and recreational services, maintenance/upgrade of infrastructure, equipment and services. He will also work with the Executive Director's office in representing the Park District with external constituency groups, including community, governmental and private organizations.
Roszak is coming to Cleveland Metroparks from Milwaukee County Parks, where he was Chief of Recreation and Business Operations. In this position, he was responsible for the daily operation of all revenue generating services in the Parks department, and his areas of responsibility included recreation, concessions, golf, aquatics, lakefront operations and special events.

Roszak earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and a Master's Degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association, as well as the National Recreation and Park Association.
