It is possible to still be active and have fun
outdoors even in the winter! And, Cleveland Metroparks has the
event to prove it - �Winteriffic!�
Cleveland Metroparks invites everyone to enjoy the great
outdoors and everything Mother Nature has to offer in the winter
season by experiencing the "Winteriffic" event on
Sunday, January 6 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Chalet Recreation Area
in Strongsville.
Visitors can enjoy dog sled programs, winter �How to Dress�
demonstrations, ice fishing demonstrations, ice sculpting, snow
bike demonstrations, winter crafts for kids, snowman building areas
and many other snow activities!
Event-goers can also enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides with a
naturalist for $5/person and snowshoe rental and instruction for
$13/ person.
Activities are subject to proper winter conditions.
Plus, while there, visitors can ride the Chalet Toboggan Chutes
- the only public ice chutes in Ohio, now with a brand-new toboggan
lift! The daily admission fee for tobogganing is ONLY
$10 for adults and $8 for children, 11 & under. One-time
ride tickets are available for $4.
Food and refreshments will be available for sale at the Chalet
concession stand.
The Chalet Recreation Area is located at 16200 Valley Parkway in
Mill Stream Run Reservation, between Routes 42 and 82 in
Strongsville - just a short distance from I-71 and the Ohio
Turnpike.
