For centuries, people passed on stories and
information through oral tradition. Whole villages would gather to
listen to these historians impart knowledge using stories and
music.
Old traditions are not lost. Join Historical Interpreter Foster
Brown for three history programs this September that highlight the
Ohio & Erie Canal through oral tradition and lyrical lore of at
the �Lyrical Legends Music Series� at Look About Lodge in South
Chagrin Reservation.

is:
Friday, September 7
Learning through music is an age-old way of passing on
information from the past. Historical Interpreter, Foster Brown
sings his original songs about the Ohio & Erie Canal.
Friday, September 14
Naturalist Mark Szabo joins Foster Brown as they reveal stories
through captivating music about towns, businesses and people along
the canal. This collection of original songs is from Foster's
latest 2012 release, �Unlocked through Songs and Images -
Navigating Canalway's Forgotten History.�
Friday, September 28
Join Foster Brown and Ed Eakin as they musically unfold true
tales of Cleveland Metroparks past. This collection of original
songs is from Foster's CD called �Legacy of the Land, Songs of the
Emerald Necklace.�
All shows run from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
$5 fee per person is required.
Look About Lodge is located at 37374 Miles Road in South Chagrin
Reservation, between SOM Center Road/Route 91 and Chagrin River
Road in Bentleyville.
