Get out the glue and the scissors (but don't run
with them!) and head to Cleveland Metroparks for two great craft
programs this September:
Homemade Draft Stoppers
Saturday, September 8 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Garfield Park Nature Center Garfield Park
Reservation
What better way to keep the chill out of the home than with a
homemade draft stopper? Come to the nature center to learn how to
make a door draft stopper. Bring an old pair of nylons or tights
and transform them into a cute critter that will help keep out the
cold. Garfield Park Nature Center is located off Mill Creek Lane,
off the Broadway Avenue entrance of Garfield Park Reservation in
Garfield Heights. For more information, call 216-341-3152.
Make and Take: Family Tree
Sunday, September 9 1 - 3 p.m.
CanalWay Center Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation
Sunday, September 9 is Grandparent's Day, so what better time to
start making a family tree! Make a craft to take home and fill with
family information. The craft is best suited for school age
children. Come in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. CanalWay Center is
located on Whittlesey Way, off the East 49th Street
entrance of Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation, between Grant Avenue
and Canal Road in Cuyahoga Heights. For more information, call
216-206-1000.
Create new memories and make something to be proud of this
September with craft programs from Cleveland Metroparks - part
of your life, naturally!
