Help celebrate the opening weekend of the new Royalview Trail at
Cleveland Metroparks new, free Royalview Mountain Bike Expo event
on Sunday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Royalview Picnic Area
in Mill Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville.
The 8+-mile trail winds through beautiful woodlands and offers
super views of the Royalview Creek.
Beginners will find the trail smooth and easy to maneuver, with
short and long rides. More experienced riders will enjoy the
flowing single track up and down the ravines.
The Royalview Mountain Bike Expo offers instructions for
people new to mountain biking and advice from experts and
experienced riders, too. The event features clinics for
beginners, group rides, kid's skills and clinic for kids, ages 8
and over, and other demonstrations and mini-clinics. Bring a
bike, and helmets are required.
The new, natural surface Royalview Trail is being built by
Cleveland Metroparks, the Student Conservation Association and
hundreds of volunteer hours from the Cleveland Mountain Bike
Association (CAMBA), with funding from Cleveland Metroparks Emerald
Necklace Fund.
Royalview Picnic Area is located off Royalview Lane in Mill
Stream Run Reservation, off Valley Parkway, just south of Royalton
Road/Route 82 in Strongsville.
Suggested parking for the event is along Royalview Lane and at
the near-by Chalet Recreation Area. Shuttle service will be
provided to and from the Chalet Recreation Area.
