After the sun goes down, there are still plenty of fun things to
see and do in Cleveland Metroparks. During the month of May there
are almost a dozen different activities for the entire family,
ranging from viewing nature films and listening to live music to
moonlight hikes and searching for frogs on an evening walk.
The evening programs at Cleveland Metroparks in May include:
Family Friday Night: Full Flower Moon
Campfire
Friday, May 4 � 8 - 9:30 p.m.

Reservation
Spend time as a family together on Friday night. Take a 1- to
1.5-mile hike and see the full flower moon �bloom� in the sky.
After the walk, gather around a cozy campfire and roast
marshmallows. North Chagrin Nature Center is located off Buttermilk

The Moon In May

The hills are alive once more with migrating birds back and
blooming wildflowers carpeting the forest floor. As night
approaches, listen as the birds sing a final song as they settle in

Author and storyteller John McMahon shares tales of the
hardships and joy of early Ohio settlers. Fictional characters
share similar experiences to those of real pioneers and settlers in
the era before and including the settlement of Connecticut's

As the sun goes down, the nocturnal animals come out. Venture
out after dark on a 2.5-mile hike through the hills of Brecksville
to see what animals are exploring the woods in the evening. Oak
Grove Picnic Area is located off Valley Parkway in Brecksville
Reservation, between Chippewa Creek and Meadows drives in
