    After the sun goes down, there are still plenty of fun things to
    see and do in Cleveland Metroparks. During the month of May there
    are almost a dozen different activities for the entire family,
    ranging from viewing nature films and listening to live music to
    moonlight hikes and searching for frogs on an evening walk.



    The evening programs at Cleveland Metroparks in May include:



    Family Friday Night: Full Flower Moon
    Campfire



    Friday, May 4 � 8 - 9:30 p.m.



    North Chagrin Nature Center � North Chagrin
    Reservation



    Spend time as a family together on Friday night. Take a 1- to
    1.5-mile hike and see the full flower moon �bloom� in the sky.
    After the walk, gather around a cozy campfire and roast
    marshmallows. North Chagrin Nature Center is located off Buttermilk
    Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance of North Chagrin
    Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Rout 91 in Mayfield Village. For

    The Moon In May



    Sunday, May 6 � 8 - 9 p.m.



    Rocky River Nature Center � Rocky River
    Reservation



    Join Naturalist Bethany Majeski for a fun, 1.5-mile frolic
    through the moonlit woods. Owls, beavers and frogs wait to be
    discovered. Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000 Valley
    Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in

    Family Friday Night: Birds And
    Blooms

    Strawberry Picnic Area parking lot � North Chagrin
    Reservation



    The hills are alive once more with migrating birds back and
    blooming wildflowers carpeting the forest floor. As night
    approaches, listen as the birds sing a final song as they settle in
    for the night. North Chagrin Nature Center is located off
    Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance of North
    Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91 in Mayfield

    Second Saturday Storytelling



    Saturday, May 12 � 7:30 - 9 p.m.



    CanalWay Center � Ohio & Erie Canal
    Reservation



    Author and storyteller John McMahon shares tales of the
    hardships and joy of early Ohio settlers. Fictional characters
    share similar experiences to those of real pioneers and settlers in
    the era before and including the settlement of Connecticut's
    Western Reserve. CanalWay Center is located on Whittlesey Way, off
    the East 49th Street entrance of Ohio & Erie Canal
    Reservation, between Grant Avenue and Canal Road in Cuyahoga

    Evening Exploration



    Tuesday, May 15 � 7 - 8:30 p.m.



    Oak Grove Picnic Area � Brecksville Reservation



    As the sun goes down, the nocturnal animals come out. Venture
    out after dark on a 2.5-mile hike through the hills of Brecksville
    to see what animals are exploring the woods in the evening. Oak
    Grove Picnic Area is located off Valley Parkway in Brecksville
    Reservation, between Chippewa Creek and Meadows drives in

    CanalWay CoffeeHouse



    Friday, May 18 ∙ 7:30 - 9 p.m.



    CanalWay Center ∙ Ohio & Erie Canal
    Reservation



    Chill out and listen to smooth blues! CanalWay Coffeehouse
    features Wallace Coleman and his all-star band playing authentic
    blues. There is a $5 fee, which includes coffee and cookies.
    CanalWay Center is located on Whittlesey Way, off the East

    Friday Movie Night: The Big Year

    The movie, The Big Year, features the �serious� hobby of
    bird watching. Whether you are an avid birder or a novice, this

    The current natural gas boom in the United States is based on
    the technique of hydraulic fracturing or "fracking." But
    is fracking safe? When filmmaker Josh Fox is asked to lease his
    land for fracking, he makes a film about his discoveries. Rocky

    Family Friday Night: Fascinating Frogs



    Friday, May 25 ∙ 8 - 9:15 p.m.

    Frogs can be colorful, strange or plain, but all frogs play
    important roles in nature. See weird and some native wetland
    favorites up close. After the indoor program, take an easy,
    half-mile hike around the marsh searching for tadpoles and frogs.

    Cinema Saturday Night: Alaska's
    Grizzlies

    Come face-to-face with the monarchs of the Alaskan wilderness.
    See coastal brown bears and interior Alaska grizzlies fishing,
    fighting, hunting and playing. It is a �must-see� for anyone
