Explore Cleveland Metroparks South Chagrin Reservation on
"Hear Here! - an Audio Tour of Cleveland Metroparks,"
which runs through December 31.
Spend a morning or afternoon with a group of people or alone,
hop in the car, and get ready to enjoy an adventure on a self-led
tour of five different sites in South Chagrin Reservation in
Moreland Hills and Bentleyville.
At each stop on the tour, visitors can pull their car into a
parking space, turn off the engine, and tune into 1620 AM to listen
for fun facts and interesting stories.
One of the stops of the tour takes visitors to Jackson Field.
Learn what species of birds come to Jackson Field every year to
make it their home and the surprising way Cleveland Metroparks
maintains this rich diverse habitat.
At another tour stop, listen before you look in Look About
Lodge, and learn why this 83-year old, former 'clubhouse' of the
Cleveland Natural Science Club is made from solid chestnut
The audio tour allows park patrons the flexibility of
experiencing the tour's five stops all in one day or by making
different stops on different days.
The broadcast may be in progress, but the message repeats itself
and can be listened to more than once to ensure all the fascinating
details about the site and its surroundings are covered.
To experience the wonders of the five sites even more, visitors
are encouraged to get out and explore by hiking, picnicking or just
relaxing at the site.
