    On Monday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cleveland Metroparks
Aquatics Division is offering an American Red Cross Junior
Lifeguarding Workshop at Ledge Pool in Hinckley Reservation.

This American Red Cross program gives ages 11 to 15 a jumpstart
into possible lifeguarding jobs. The workshop is a great way for
young people to build self-esteem and develop leadership,
    decision-making and communication skills.

The workshop will teach participants the knowledge and skills
needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies, both in a
pool and at a waterfront environment.  The course content and
activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly
and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and
    injuries.

Registration is required by July 18, and this workshop costs $35
for Ledge Pool season pass holders and $55 for non-season pass
    holders.

Call 330-239-2911 for prerequisites, registration and for more
    information.

Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is located at 1151 Ledge Road
in Hinckley Reservation, between State Road and Kellogg Road in
    HinckleyTownship.

Juniors can learn lifeguarding skills with Cleveland
Metroparks - part of your life, naturally.
