Cleveland Metroparks offers a program for adults curious about
the wonders of weather. Get the lowdown on lows, highs,
clouds, and lake effect with information geared to take the fantasy
out of forecasting at the
For Adults Only: Meteorology program.
The free, three-part series takes place Thursday & Friday,
January 20 and 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at BrecksvilleNatureCenter and
Saturday, January 22, at WKYC-TV3.
In the first two sessions (January 20 and 21), participants will
meet with a Naturalist to take a close look at the factors that
help create Northeast Ohio's unique weather. Participants will
learn through handouts, a demonstration and slides, and get some
practical forecasting experience.
In the third session, January 22, participants take a field trip
to WKYC- TV3 to see a live weather forecast in the studio and meet
a meteorologist.
Participants must attend all three sessions. Space is limited,
and registration is required.
Brecksville Nature Center is located off Chippewa Creek Drive,
off the Route 82 entrance of Brecksville Reservation in
Brecksville.
