All quilts must have a North American nature-theme,
incorporating nature images within the design. Quilters may use
    traditional or innovative concepts.

If busy and don't think you have enough time to
complete a large quilt, then stop by EarthWords Nature Shops to buy
pre-made quilt blocks and enter in the EarthWords Nature Lover's
Quilt Block category.  Visit any of the three EarthWords
Nature Shops (located in CanalWayCenter, NorthChagrinNatureCenter
and Rocky RiverNatureCenter) to purchase a Nature Lover's Quilt
Block pattern and enter the completed piece in the show.  New
quilt block designs are featured this year.

The application deadline is Tuesday, October 19.  There is
an $8 show entry fee per quilt.  A limit of two entries per
person will be accepted.  Applications must be accompanied
with a non-returnable photo of the quilt.

Prizes/ribbons will be awarded to the top three quilts in the
following categories:  large quilt, medium quilt, small quilt,
and EarthWords Nature Lover's Quilt Block.  Additional prizes
will be awarded for Best of Show, Viewers' Choice, Judge's Choice,
Best Hand Quilted, and Honorable Mentions.  The Best of Show
quilt receives a Bernina Activa 210 sewing machine ($999 retail),
courtesy of Abigayle's Quiltery of Olmsted Falls.

The weekend-long "Reflections of Nature" Quilt Show
features the juried quilt exhibit, presentations, quilt/fiber art
stores and vendors, demonstrations, local quilt guilds,
    make-and-take projects, and more!
