Enjoy the autumn season in Cleveland Metroparks by taking the

Birds of Prey

Come learn about these amazing avian predators and see live
birds and mounted specimens up close with Naturalist Jeffery Riebe.
Wings and talons will be available to compare and touch. An easy,
half-mile hike around the marsh is part of the program.

Join Naturalist Tim Krynak to search for migrant song birds and
waterfowl's making their way to more tropical climates. Some
binoculars will be available to borrow. This program welcomes
adults and teenagers. Meet in the NatureCenter's parking lot.

Bird Banding: Songbirds

Bird banding is an essential tool for studying our feathered
friends. Get an up-close, better-than-binoculars look as we
capture, band and release the birds near the feeders, including
hummingbirds. Program will be cancelled, if raining. Drop in

Monthly Morning with the Birds

Ridges and Fields of West Creek Reservation

The forest, ridges, meadows, and riparian corridors of West
Creek Reservation provide a refuge for dozens of migrating
songbirds and diverse plant life. Join Naturalist Jen Brumfield on
a steady-paced, ridgetop tour of scenic hillsides and "back
trails" of this magnificent suburban green space. The 4-mile
hike is recommended for adults, and is of moderate to difficult
terrain. Bring binoculars and a water bottle! West Creek
Reservation's main entrance is located off West Ridgewood Drive,
between State and Broadview roads in Parma. For more information,

Kinglets and Creepers by the Creek

Sneak a peek at finches, kinglets, creepers, sapsuckers, and
other woodland denizens on the ridge trails of West Creek
Reservation. While keeping an eye to the sky, discuss the
behavioral strategies used by backyard birds to make it through the
incoming winter of the Great Lakes region. Adults and young adults
can enjoy the 2-mile hike through West Creek Reservation, located
off West Ridgewood Drive, between State and Broadview roads in
