Experience nature through fiber arts at Cleveland Metroparks
"Reflections of Nature" Quilt Show at Rocky
RiverNatureCenter in Rocky River Reservation in North Olmsted.
The free, weekend-long show is on Saturday and Sunday, November 13
and 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and features a juried quilt
show of great local talent. All the quilts in the show have a
nature theme, and feature a variety of sizes, shapes and
The event features the juried show, lectures, quilt/fiber art
vendors, demonstrations, local quilt guilds, 'make-and-take'
activities, and more.
Visitors can enjoy presentations both days from guest speakers:

Quilters interested in entering the juried show can still get an
application at any of the Park District facilities or via the
website: clevelandmetroparks.com. The deadline to enter a
quilt is Tuesday, October 19.
Prizes/ribbons will be awarded to the top three quilts in the
following categories: large quilt, medium quilt, small quilt,
and EarthWords Nature Lover's Quilt Block. Additional prizes
will be awarded for Best of Show, Viewers' Choice, Judge's Choice,
Best Hand Quilted, and Honorable Mentions. The Best of Show
quilt will receive a Bernina Activa 210 sewing machine ($999
retail), courtesy of Abigayle's Quiltery of Olmsted Falls.
