Cleveland Metroparks joins in "Tellabration! 2010" with a
free evening of storytelling at CanalWayCenter on Saturday,
November 20 at 7:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to sit around the
metaphorical fire to listen to stories from five excellent tellers
from northern Ohio and help celebrate the ancient art and tradition
of storytelling.
"Tellabration!" was launched by the
ConnecticutStorytellingCenter in 1988 to garner community support
for storytelling, with six locations across Connecticut. This grew
into an international phenomenon that continually moves around the
world with new listeners joining in as time marches into each new
westerly time zone. Stories are now told in every time zone and 14
participating countries. In fact, "Tellabration!" events
are currently held on every continent except Antarctica.
CanalWayCenter is located on Whittlesey Way, off the East 49th
Street entrance of Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation, between Grant
Avenue and Canal Road in CuyahogaHeights.
For more information, call 440-734-6660.
Celebrate the tradition of storytelling and enjoy
"Tellabration! 2010" in Cleveland Metroparks -
part of your life, naturally!
