Cleveland Metroparks invites all schools, groups and
organizations to enter the "Holiday Tree Decorating"
contest, as part of the Chalet's 2010-11 Promotional Schedule at
the Chalet Toboggan Chutes in Strongsville.

The first 30 schools, groups and organizations to participate
will be entered to win a private tobogganing party!

Trees need to be set-up on Friday, December 3 between 10 a.m.
and 5 p.m.  The trees will be on display from December 3 until
December 20.  After the winning group is announced on December
20, the trees will be delivered to local retirement homes.

Schools, groups and organizations can encourage students, family
and friends to vote for their tree.  Ballots will be available
at the Chalet.  Voting ends December 19 and the tree with the
most votes will win the private tobogganing party.  The
winning group will be announced on December 20.

The guidelines for the contest are:

    • Trees are provided.

    • Space is limited to the first 30 groups on a first-come,
      first-served basis.

    • No electrical lights or devices may be used in decorating the
      tree.

    • Each group must incorporate their name and Cleveland Metroparks
      logo on the tree.

    • Decorations will be exposed to various weather conditions, as
well as animals (please no food items) and other park
      visitors.

    • Cleveland Metroparks is not responsible for any damage to or
      stolen items from the trees.

The winning group receives a private tobogganing party at the
Chalet Toboggan Chutes for up to 50 people, which includes 50
toboggan passes, 50 hot dogs, chips and drinks.  Prizes will
be awarded to second and third place, too!
